PKC REGION VII

Tournament Series  -  Associated Schools  -  Officials/Referee Certification

The Professional Karate Commission was formed in 1986 by Mr. Glenn Keeney as a sanctioning body for American Kickboxing and in 1989 further developed the organization to include Sport tournament karate. Mr. Keeney is the International Liason for the PKC and in that capacity, coordinates the PKC's efforts worldwide.

The Professional Karate Commission is a national & regional tournament and ratings organization designed to meet the needs of the competitor. The PKC was created by some our most respected promoters and competitors to bring a new level of professionalism to the sport karate circuit. The PKC Directors are some of today’s finest leaders carrying out the task of building a world wide organization. With their help, the PKC intends to assure that Karate will indeed have a bright and successful future.

PKC Director, Mr. Rob Starks, welcomes you to the PKC Region #7 Karate Tournament Series. We are dedicated to preserving the integrity, ethics and principles of Karate-do. Our goal is to serve you in the best and most efficient possible manner. Look for the PKC logo for a truly respectful atmosphere, with good sportsmanship, and exciting competition.

Competition, when done in a respectable manner, drives individuals to become better and to achieve more goals. It teaches us valuable life skills, such as good sportsmanship, drive, and the desire to win. There are many different levels in which competition can be a useful tool. You can compete with others, you can compete with yourself, or your team may compete against other teams. In whichever manner you chose to compete, creating a habit, or a drive to win, will help you become a champion in life.

How often have you heard successful people say the journey was more important than the result? Meeting all the challenges and adversities along the way is the reward. It is our goal to help competitors see their accomplishments and help them build on those accomplishments to become better people. Competition is a means to stretch yourself in many ways. Even if you don't achieve the ultimate goal today, there is always tomorrow.
